Hello There!

Hello There!

From stage management and event + venue management to wedding planning and coordination, I am a woman of many talents and experiences looking for the next adventure and challenge.

  • I was first introduced to stage managing my freshman year of high school. I joined my high school's spring musical, Tarzan, as an assistant stage manager. The next fall I was the Stage Manager for the school's fall musical The Addams Family.

  • During my sophomore year of high school I won the National Cappies Award for Stage Management on the Kennedy F. Center Stage. Junior and senior years I received multiple superior ratings on my stage management prompt books at state and national levels.

  • After receiving multiple awards and recognitions for my work in stage management, then being recruited by multiple universities at the National Thespian Festival, I decided to purse a career in stage management by pursing the degree of stage and production management at Oklahoma City University.

  • Oklahoma City University not only built my strength and confidence as a stage manager, but trained me to become a knowledgeable stage manager. Having taken courses such as stagecraft, lighting design, sound engineering, costume construction, etc. I am not just a capable stage manager, but a stage manager who can effectively communicate with a team and understand what it is each person on my team does.

  • Following college I was fortunate enough to be accepted to intern for Ciruqe du Soleil in Las Vegas. This experience allowed me to put all my learned knowledge to use, while also learning more about stage managing high stakes performances.

  • My introduction to weddings was in the summer of 2022, however, it wasn't until the summer of 2023, when I interned with Happily Hitched, LLC that I truly began to understand what goes into wedding planning.

  • During my internship with Happily Hitched, LLC I learned how to speak with clients about weddings, as well as, some of the important questions to always ask ahead of time. Additionally, I gained experience communicating with both vendors and venues to book them for clients or schedule tours. I also attended multiple weddings as an assistant, of which required me to arrive prior to anyone else and oversee the setup of the ceremony and reception spaces. Also, I was responsible for communication with vendors and directing guests to the correct spaces, but most importantly I was there to assist in assuring that the wedding ran smoothly and things stayed as close to on schedule as possible.

  • With senior year of college and my internship with Cirque du Soleil, I hadn't had a chance to work on a wedding for a while. Luckily for me, I reached back out to Happily Hitched LLC and they were in need of some extra help with a few weddings coming up. Stepping back into wedding world was amazing. I rediscovered my love for everything wedding related and have taken advantage to assist whenever I am available to help.

Wedding Planning

  • My first introduction to event and venue management was during the summer of 2022 between my sophomore and junior years of college. I got a job at a local winery as an assistant events manager. Most of this job was spent doing physical labor such as setting up tables and chairs, spreading tablecloths, setting decor, and everything else.  However, this job introduced me to the world of weddings, which immediately caught my attention.

  • A year later, starting my senior year of college, my professor helped me get an internship with an events company called Factor 110. During this internship I was introduced to the world of corporate events and assisted with the setup of multiple expos and conferences. Additionally, I ended the internship by coordinating and managing a gala from start to finish by myself.

  • The following spring I took a venue management course offered by my university and was fascinated with the world of venue management. I was introduced to IAVM - The International Association of Venue Managers.

  • Following college graduation, I was chosen as an intern for the IAVM 2024 Venue Management School. This opportunity not only allowed me to network with a large variety of industry professionals, but allowed me to sit in on the classes taught by those industry professionals. While this was only a week long internship, I learned about every aspect of the events industry and what it takes to manage a venue.
